We're Going To Kazakhstan!

There were times when we thought this day would never get here, but after months of research, paperwork, interviews, signatures, phone calls, photographs, videotapes, not to mention all the WAITING, our day to leave has arrived!

Next time we post we'll be on the other side of world and we'll have met our children...can we BE any more excited??!?!?!?!?!

Penny, Chris, Casey, Rob and 220 pounds of luggage!!!

Thank You

We couldn't embark on this experience of a lifetime without stopping to thank our family and friends for their kind words, gifts, and most importantly, their encouragement and support. Other adoptive families know first hand that while this is the most exciting time of your life, it can also be the most stressful in many ways. Having special people in your life makes all the difference.

To everyone who has become personally involved in our journey, your enthusiasm has meant the world to us. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people touch our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE DiTORO FAMILY . . .

When Marilyn offered to take care of Casey and Penny while we were away, she didn't realize that she was the miracle that we were praying for. From the moment we decided we were going to pursue international adoption to complete our family, our primary concern was "who was going to take care of our beloved pets?" Our special friend and family had offered to take them in, but none of the offers were the ideal situation for our senior citizen and her little buddy. We will miss our girls desperately, but know they are in the absolute best of hands. Thank you.

Thank goodness for email where we'll look forward to receiving daily CaseyPenny notes and photos. It will help to make the time spent away from them bearable.
