Here's What's New . . .
Since daylight savings gave us an extra hour, figured we'd use that "extra" time to give the blog an update.
What can we say... the kids are wonderful and are growing up so fast! They are an absolute JOY and we are so grateful each and every day that they have become part of our lives. In one sense it's like they were always with us, and in another our lives are so incredibly changed. Like today...we took them for a walk to a Fall Festival to the local high school. We were pushing them along in the double stroller in their matching pumpkin sweat suits, taking the same route that we used to take with our beloved Murphy and Casey for years. In one way it was sad, since Murph and Case have both passed on, but in another it was a time to reflect, like who would have thought we would be pushing two babies down the road 10 years ago!!!
Justin is a little drama king. He's super sensitive and hugs and kisses every stuffed dog toy, puzzle piece, or picture in a book that is a dog. He's partial to dogs, but has an affinity towards all animals, which makes his vegetarian, animal loving mother very proud. At the moment he's adverse to sleep. Used to read him a story, tuck him in and blow him kisses from the door and he'd be good to go. But for the past several weeks he goes into hysterics as soon as you say the words "night night." Hopefully it's a phase since we hate to hear him cry himself to sleep. He's still not talking yet, but does say "car" which is his obsession. He must point out every car part before he can get into his carseat, both before and after ever journey. It's exasperating for us, but this is what makes him happy, and that's what it's all about, right?
Paigee is a pip! She is talking up a storm, LOVES to dance, and when things don't go her way...look out! She fits right into the old nursery rhyme.."there was a little girl, who had a little curl . . ." Her facial expressions and mannerisms keep us laughing, and we just can't get over how different raising a little girl is from raising a little boy. She's so bright and strong-willed, and we're so glad we said "yes" when we were asked if we wanted to see her referral photo!
We could go on for pages, but a picture's worth 1,000 words, so enjoy the photos!
